Support the process to educate about cancer prevention : No-Shave November

Every November, i used to see a lot of unshaven men. Well i never bothered to check with them why they do it, until this year one of my close friends formed a group before start of November.

Usually November is a popular time for many men to sport facial hair as part of No-Shave November or Movember.

It was optional but out of curiosity i talked to him and researched more about it. Well some people call this month a lazy month where people do not shave. Others grow their beard for fun. But the real reason for following NoShave November , is to raise mindfulness for diverse kinds of cancer including prostate cancer.

The goal is to contribute the cash you normally would use to get a haircut or clean your facial hair to cancer research charities or NGO which work to educate about cancer prevention, save lives, and aid those fighting the battle.

Well in this way we are also increasing attentiveness by embracing our hair, which many cancer patients lose, and letting it grow wild and free.

But based on my experience though this is a great practice, the real purpose of ‘no shave November’ often gets misplaced among all of the memes, social media posts and so much hype created by the media. Many people don’t even realise why it is done.

Although the no shave November cause of cancer is a great cause to support, there are other alternative ways to show your support.

I am participating this year and will donate my saved money ‘Tata Memorial Centre‘ for cancer research.

Are you participating this year for NoShave November?

No Shave November
I am participating. Are you ?

As i end, one of my friend just told me that ladies even participate this month by donating.  This is just one of the event for a good cause.
